CPD: 1 CPD
PRESENTER | Dr. Jack Ringer, DDS, FAACD, FIADFE
Presenter Bio:
Dr. Ringer currently devotes approximately 75% of his time practicing contemporary esthetic dentistry in his private practice. The remainder of his time teaching, training, and running lectures on cosmetic dentistry to other dentists. This is done either
through private dental education centers, continuing education programs at local dental schools or via private programs sponsored by dental manufacturers. Dr. Ringer's lecturing has been done locally in Southern California (e.g. study clubs or universities), nationally (e.g. Greater New York Meeting, AACD Annual meeting, Seattle Study Clubs, etc.), and internationally (e.g. Australia, India, Japan, etc.)

Overview:
An innovation in the technology of local anesthetic delivery allows more comfortable injections that are beneficial to dentists and their patients. Using the Dynamic Pressure Sensing technology of the STA, Single Tooth Anesthesia system, learn how to deliver profound anesthesia comfortably and successfully to a single tooth, offering an alternative the Mandibular Block. Learn how to easily anesthetize multiple teeth and related tissues with a single-site injection that does not cause collateral numbness to the patient's lip and face. This course will review the technology and injection dynamics associated with the STA system, and other computer-controlled anesthetic delivery systems, along with a description of new techniques for traditional infiltration and block injections and for new, state-of-the-art injections such as the STA-Intraligamentary Injection, AMSA, P-ASA, and Crestal.
Learning Objectives:
- The techniques for delivery of the newly discovered STA-Intraligamentary Injection, which can eliminate the need for supra-periosteal infiltrations and mandibular blocks in dental patients.
- The techniques and injection dynamics associated with the administration of comfortable palatal injections (AMSA & P-ASA) that anesthetize multiple maxillary teeth and related gingival tissues without collateral anesthesia to the patient’s lip or face.
- How to easily anesthetize a single tooth with efficacy, safety, and comfort, but without producing collateral numbness and possible injury to a child’s lips or tongue.
- How to minimize a child’s disruptive behavior and your stress during the administration of local anesthesia for pediatric patients.
- A new injection technique (the Crestal Injection) to produce profound anesthesia and increased hemostasis in the placement and recovery of dental implants.
- Why computer-controlled local anesthesia delivery can produce more comfortable, less stressful dental injections and can produce many benefits to you, your patients, and your practice.
