Presenter's Bio:

Dr Shalin Desai completed his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry, specialising in endodontics at the University of Otago. Prior to specialisation, Shalin practiced general dentistry in private and public clinics. Shalin runs a specialist practice in Bella Vista, Sydney and holds an honorary educator position with The University of Sydney. He enjoys sharing his clinical knowledge with dental students and GP dentists via continuing education events. Shalin has published several scientific papers in international journals and is passionate about providing the highest quality evidence based endodontic treatments.

Session overview:
This webinar will focus on the mechanical phase of root canal shaping, including principles and various practical treatment approaches using modern heat-treated nickel titanium instruments. In this session clinicians will get a better understanding of the advantages and use of modern-day heat-treated nickel titanium instruments for use in daily practice; helping to facilitate chemical irrigation while minimizing clinical complications.

Gain an understand of modern-day nickel titanium instruments and their use for implementing into daily practice

Practical applications of martensitic nickel-titanium technology to navigate highly curved canals safely and efficiently, while reducing the risk of file separation
