Aims & Objectives:

This lecture will focus on the management of deep caries – its’ classification and the various treatment modalities. The lecture will also focus on vital pulp therapy – what it is, why does it work and new technologies – basically how things have changed.

There is an opportunity to understand and review what the clinical literature says about Vital Pulp Therapy protocol and what it says.

Understand strategies about the need to expose and treat the pulp or not? What to do IF the pulp is exposed and manage the uncertainty in caries removal. Should the pulp be exposed? And explore the various treatment options that are available.

This will provide the clinician sound evidence based vital pulp therapy management and strategies.
